Summary
 
Redwire Space Missions LLC is seeking an experienced Sr. Project Manager based in the Denver, CO area to support multiple programs. This is considered an onsite role, based out of our Littleton, CO. office. This position is responsible for program leadership and direction ensuring successful execution consistent with the budget, schedule, scope, technical requirements, and contract deliverables. They will lead large projects with high levels of risk and scope complexity. You must have the ability to obtain a security clearance. 
 
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, Gantt charts, and milestone tracking aligned with program objectives; ensure cross‑functional alignment through clear communication and expectation setting.
  • Manage supplier and subcontractor deliverables related to hardware, tooling, and test systems, including relationship management, performance oversight, and issue resolution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external customers, including government agencies and commercial partners; maintain strong customer relationships through transparency, responsiveness, and professional engagement.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, promoting effective team building, role clarity, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop project budgets, schedules, and resource plans; proactively manage resource allocation across competing priorities and provide monthly variance reporting on ETC and EAC.
  • Execute projects in accordance with internal QMS and AS9100 requirements, modeling disciplined leadership and adherence to process.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, proactively preparing for potential project issues and scope creep; facilitate conflict resolution and decision‑making to maintain program momentum.
Ideal Experience
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Jira) and ERP systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience in space systems or defense project management.
  • Experience managing multi‑disciplinary teams in a high‑reliability, mission‑critical environment, including demonstrated leadership, team development, and conflict‑resolution capabilities.
  • Must have customer‑facing communication skills, with experience managing complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Technical familiarity with space systems avionics components.
  • Experience with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Jira) and ERP systems.
  • Ability to lead through influence, drive alignment, and maintain team engagement under pressure.
  • Must be willing to travel as required – 25%.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • US Citizen or US Person as defined by ITAR regulations.
Desired Skills
  • Able to perform duties with little to no management oversight; mentors less‑experienced Project Managers and contributes to organizational leadership.
  • 10+ years program management experience in space environment.
  • Applies Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to performance schedule and identifies areas requiring upper‑management attention.
  • Advanced to expert level user preferred in Microsoft Project and Excel.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build high‑performing teams, resolve conflicts constructively, and maintain strong customer relationships.

Pay Range
$120,000 - $190,000/Yr.

How We Determine What We Pay (Compensation Philosophy)
Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth.  Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will be considered for higher pay.
