We have a current opportunity for Associate-level Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. The Manufacturing Engineer works directly with programs to develop new processes, generate work instructions, and supports to establish tooling/ground support equipment design. 
 
Responsibilities
  • Ground Support Equipment (GSE) design.
  • Manufacturing process development.
  • Manufacturing Flow Diagram generation.
  • Generate technical document reporting, and presentations.
  • Flight and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) drawing review and timely release.
  • Write activity and project reports, develop action plans, and generate work instructions, test procedures and other documentation to support production operations.
  • General tooling and shop aids.
Requirements
  • B.S. or ability to obtain a degree in Manufacturing Engineering or other engineering discipline.
  • 0-2 years in the space/aerospace field.
  • Background/understanding of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) design.
  • Ability to setup and design a process including selection and sequencing of steps.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute solutions to technical problems of moderate scope/complexity.
  • Ability to travel - an average of 10% travel may be required. Most of the travel is local but some overnight travel may be required.
  • US Citizen
Desired Skills
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with Space Solar Arrays.
  • Proficient with SolidWork or similar CAD software.
  • Six Sigma training and 5S for manufacturing. Green Belt preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering design.
  • Proficiency with Visio and MS Project.
  • Ability to produce “completed staff work.”
  • A growth mindset.
