Summary
We’re seeking an energetic and adaptable Contracts Specialist to support a growing portfolio of U.S. Government, Commercial Aerospace, and international customer proposal pursuits. This role is well‑suited for a contracts professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is ready to contribute across proposal development, contract review, change management, negotiations support, and customer engagement.

As part of a publicly traded company, you will also help navigate periodic peak workload cycles, especially around quarter‑end closeout and reporting periods. You’ll collaborate with program, engineering, finance, supply chain, and senior contracts staff to support compliant, competitive proposals and administer a diverse array of domestic and international contracts.

Responsibilities
  • Support proposal efforts for U.S. Government, Commercial Aerospace, and international customers by reviewing RFP requirements, gathering inputs, and preparing contract‑related proposal content.
  • Assist in developing RFPs for suppliers and subcontractors, coordinating requirements, and supporting evaluation activities when needed.
  • Contribute to negotiation preparation and assist in customer or supplier discussions under guidance from senior personnel.
  • Support contract change management, including drafting and helping develop persuasive justifications for contract modifications, requests for equitable adjustments, and other change actions.
  • Assist in reviewing, NDA’s, teaming agreements, proposals, terms and conditions, and contract documents—including changes and amendments.
  • Prepare summaries of key risks, assumptions, and contractual considerations for program and leadership teams for proposal gate reviews.
  • Process and track contract documents, deliverables, funding actions, and correspondence using contract management tools and CDRL systems.
  • Monitor contract compliance and support the preparation of required contractual deliverables.
  • Maintain strong, professional communication with internal stakeholders, domestic and international customers, and suppliers.

Ideal Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, Supply Chain, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered
  • 5+ years of experience in contracts, subcontracts, supply chain, proposal support, or relevant business roles
  • Experience supporting the review and management of contract or proposal documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in high‑tempo, deadline‑driven environments with occasional quarter‑end surge activity
  • Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with document/data management tools
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Some travel may be required (10-15%) to company and customer sites.

Desired Skills
  • Familiarity with Government or Commercial contracting practices, particularly within Aerospace/Defense
  • Exposure to international contracting considerations
  • Basic understanding of ITAR/EAR export regulations
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Cost Point, Salesforce CLM tools, AI platforms or government portals (PIEE, SAM.gov)

How We Determine What We Pay (Compensation Philosophy)
Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth.  Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.

Redwire is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with Redwire is governed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications and will not be influenced in any manner by race, color, religion, gender, national origin/ethnicity, veteran status, disability status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, mental or physical disability or any other legally protected status.
All offers of employment at Redwire are contingent upon clear results of a thorough background check and your ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the US.  Note that some positions will also require US citizenship or ability to obtain a security clearance due to requirements of a classified program.
