 Summary  

 As a Quality and Product Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the quality framework for Redwire Luxembourg Space hardware production and integration activities. This role ensures that all hardware, processes, and documentation comply with internal standards, customer requirements, ECSS/ESA/NASA quality frameworks, and applicable regulatory controls. The ideal candidate will be responsible overseeing and managing the quality assurance and production assurance processes within our organization. Their main goal is to ensure that products, processes, and services meet customer requirements and industry standards. 

 Responsibilities 

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the site Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ECSS, ESA, and NASA standards. 
  • Ensure product assurance across the full lifecycle: design, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, integration, test, and delivery. 
  • Lead quality planning for new programs, including inspection plans, process controls, and verification matrices. 
  • Oversee non-conformance reporting, root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and quality metrics. 
  • Maintain configuration control, documentation traceability, calibration status, and inspection records. 
  • Conduct internal audits and prepare the organization for customer and agency audits. 
  • Coordinate supplier quality activities—qualification, performance monitoring, incoming inspection, and supplier improvement actions. 
  • Review engineering documents (drawings, specifications, test procedures) to ensure compliance and producibility. 
  • Support environmental and functional test campaigns through documentation review, data validation, and acceptance reporting. 
  • Train and mentor technicians and engineers on inspection methods, build records, and quality processes. 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in production, integration, and test operations. 

 Ideal experience 

  • Bachelor of Engineering, e.g. quality engineering or similar technical discipline 
  • 3-5 years’ quality/product assurance experience in aerospace or high-reliability hardware environments (space, aviation, defence, semiconductors, or precision manufacturing) 
  • Working knowledge of ECSS, ESA, NASA, AS9100, ISO 9001, or equivalent aerospace quality frameworks 
  • Experience with non-conformance management, Material Review Board (MRB), and CAPA processes 
  • Familiarity with mechanical and/or electrical assembly, integration, and environmental test processes for space hardware 
  • Experience with configuration management tools, inspection documentation, calibration systems, and traceability requirements 
  • Supplier quality oversight experience, including audits and incoming inspection 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written) in English 

 Desired skills 

  • Hands-on experience in space hardware manufacturing or testing environments. 
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and acceptance criteria. 
  • Proficiency with digital quality systems (QMS software, MES, or ERP modules). 
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on prevention, root cause, and continuous improvement. 
  • Ability to work independently and interface confidently with engineering, suppliers, and customers.
