Business Process Analyst, Lead
 
Position Summary:
This Business Process Analyst, Lead for Operational Performance facilitates operational performance improvements across the company.
This role serves as the business process owner (BPO) for operational performance, acting as the primary link between business functions and the IT business intelligence team. As a process owner, you will understand the performance levers of the company and determine optimal ways to measure and report performance.
In this capacity, the individual will identify the key drivers of business performance, establish standardized metrics and KPIs, and ensure performance data is translated into meaningful insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
This position requires a hands-on leader and natural collaborator who understands the complexity of running a large portfolio of projects within a space and defense company or similar project-based industry.
A deep understanding of enterprise data, operational processes and operational performance management is required, including business intelligence solutions that combine and transform data from many enterprise applications (e.g. ERP, HCM, EPM, CRM etc.) into actionable insights that drive accountability, operational excellence, and business results.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership and Team Management
  • Act as a business process leader for operational performance management.
  • Manage and develop subject matter experts (SMEs) in the business with responsibility for reporting and operational insights.
  • Build a strong internal network / community of those engaged in operational performance management.
  • Foster a culture of analytical rigor, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  1. Reporting Optimization
  • Identify gaps in reporting and data processes and drive improvements through automation, standardization, and improved data visibility.
  • Support operational cadence with reliable and timely data outputs.
  • Reduce manual effort and improve reporting efficiency through scalable, repeatable solutions.
  • Act as a champion for standardization and global enterprise-wide processes.
  1. Insights and Analytics
  • Development of the requirements for the standardization of enterprise operational dashboards, KPIs and reporting frameworks.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across reporting outputs.
  • Design the actionable insights outcomes that support operational and executive decision-making.
  1. Collaboration with the Business functions and IT Solution Providers
  • Serve as the enterprise business partner with the Information Technology team that develop solutions for data management, integration, semantic models, dashboards and other reporting architectures.
  • Define business requirements, prioritize enhancements and ensure delivery aligns with operational needs.
  • Collaborate with and drive alignment across business functions KPI definitions and reporting standards.
  1. Data Governance and Standards
  • Assist in the management of data standards, master data, KPI definitions, metric definitions and reporting governance across the enterprise.
  • Ensure consistency and integrity of data used within dashboards, reporting, and analytics.
  • Support adherence to compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements (ITAR, SOX, etc.) as they relate to reporting and data analytics.
  1. Executive Communication and Insights
  • Present insights and performance updates to senior leadership in clear and compelling formats.
  • Ensure high-quality executive materials, including presentations, memos, and analytical outputs.

  • Standard and scalable enterprise reporting framework across the enterprise and business segments
  • Enterprise level Business Process ownership established for operational performance management
  • Alignment between Process Ownership and solution development and deployment.
  • Improved consistency, reliability and usability of data used in decision-making.
  • Increase visibility into business performance through clear, timely reporting insights
Ideal Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management with exposure to Analytics, Engineering, Information System, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of experience in business management with analytics, business intelligence, operations or related experience
  • Demonstrated experience owning, leading or improving reporting, dashboards or KPI framework in business environment
  • Experience partnering with IT or technical teams to define requirements and assist in solution deployment and adoption
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making and process improvement
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools and data science
  • Experience with project based, manufacturing or government contracting environments
 
  Pay range
    $122,00 to $151,300/yr.
