Redwire Space Components is seeking an experienced Proposal Lead to oversee end‑to‑end development of both unclassified and classified proposals across our full portfolio of offerings.
This onsite role in Marlborough, MA drives the complete proposal lifecycle—from planning and scheduling through final submission—while coordinating cross‑functional teams to deliver compliant, high‑quality responses to U.S. government and aerospace solicitations.
This position works directly with the General Manager and the Business Development team, providing strategic insight, shaping proposal approaches, and ensuring alignment with capture and organizational priorities.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of proposal development for multiple concurrent efforts, from kickoff through final submission.

Develop, write, and edit proposal content, including technical, management, past performance, and compliance sections, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with solicitation requirements.
- Translate complex technical and programmatic information into clear, compelling, customer‑focused narratives.
- Ensure full compliance with customer solicitation requirements (RFPs, RFIs, amendments, evaluation criteria) and maintain traceability to all instructions.
- Develop, communicate, and maintain detailed proposal schedules with critical milestones and decision points.
- Assign, track, and coordinate inputs from internal contributors, subcontractors, and functional leads, providing guidance on content structure, messaging, and compliance.
- Organize and facilitate proposal reviews, team checkpoints, and executive‑level briefings; incorporate feedback into revised drafts.
- Oversee final proposal production, approval, and on‑time submission, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to formatting standards.
- Capture and archive lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
- Prepare and deliver status reports to leadership, engineering, program management, contracts, and external consultants.
- Contribute to the refinement of proposal processes, templates, tools, and best practices.
Ideal Experience
- B.S./B.A. in a relevant field with 8+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing full lifecycle proposals for both Prime and subcontractor roles.
- Strong technical writing and editing skills.
- Solid understanding of U.S. government and aerospace acquisition processes, particularly for national security programs.
- Proven ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay Range:
$114,000 - $156,000/year

How We Determine What We Pay (Compensation Philosophy)
Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external 690market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
